Many years later, quite by accident, I acquired a Cocker and from that day on I was completely hooked on the breed. We have a small kennel of Cockers which house a FT CHAMPION and three OPEN WINNERS, all of which have been home bred by my wife Sandra {who is Club Treasurer} FT FERNMOSS MOONSHINE was also bred here. Although Sandra does not train the dogs, she takes an active part in the breeding of them and her affix "FERNMOSS" goes back many years to the days of her breeding and showing Rough Collies. I am on the Judges B panel and I serve on the committee of North Western Counties FT. Ass. , as well as Gwynedd Spaniel Club. Over the years I have won many awards at Field Trials, but I was particularly pleased to win the Kennel Clubs AV OPEN SPANIEL TEST handling Andrew Whelan's cocker dog " CHURCHVIEW TOBY OF LOWFORGE ".This is the first time a cocker has won this prestigious test.
